Take the Hunter's Pledge

Ethics - Tradition - Honor

As a hunter, I care about the health and welfare of wildlife, and of the animals that I hunt. I am committed to protecting the natural world, and to the principles that protect how the animal lives, and how it dies.

Hunting and fishing has played an integral role in human evolution and development since the dawn of history. Reliable sources of fat and protein have influenced brain development. Human characteristics such as teamwork, community living, advanced communication, endurance, toolmaking and even art have all been influenced to great degree by the drive and necessity to hunt and fish.

Today, men and women carry that legacy for our sons and daughters. Deeply connected to the natural world, hunters and fishers understand the relationship between life and death and the need to maintain healthy and abundant fish and wildlife populations to maintain the spiritual and physical health of human populations.

As a hunter, I care about the health and welfare of wildlife, and of the animals that I hunt. I am committed to protecting the natural world, and to the principles that protect how the animal lives, and how it dies.

Therefore, I pledge that when I hunt, the wildlife:

  1. Is free to roam
  2. Lives in a natural environment
  3. Can behave naturally
  4. Dies quickly and cleanly
  5. Is fully utilized

When you take the pledge you are expressing support for the Hunter’s Pledge movement and signing up to our email list. We will keep you informed as we take action to protect our rights to hunt and fish.

Our activities are concentrated primarily in BC and Canada, but our partners are from around the world.

Our support comes from individuals and organizations that support hunting, fishing and the conservation and sustainable use of fish and wildlife.
